How to go to shopping outlet in Hong Kong ?

Every time I go to Hong Kong, Citigate Outlet will be my first stop for shopping before checking into my hotel at downtown. This is the largest outlet in Hong Kong. It is situated on the same island as Hong Kong Disneyland – Lantau Island 大嶼山., and only 5 minutes away from Hong Kong Disneyland by Mass Transport Rail.

If you are on transit at Hong Kong for more than 3 hours and you do not require any Visa or Transit Visa to leave the airport, you can reach there in 10 minutes by Citybus, a public bus, number S1. This bus operates every 5 minutes from the airport to a station called, Tung Chung 東涌.

If you are staying downtown, it is about 40 minutes’ ride from Tsim Tsa Tsui MTR station to Tung Chung station. There is an interchange station from Red Line at Lai Keng to the Yellow Line – Tung Chung. Upon arrival, go to Exit C, the 1st shop you’ll see is the Adidas Outlet on the right and the New Balance Outlet on the left.

Other branded shops such as Armani Exchange, Burberry, Levi’s, Timberland, Coach, Samsonite, Nike, Espirit, Max Mara, Calvin Klein, Body Shop, Rockport etc. offer year-round 30% - 70% discount.
I usually spend at least 3 hours here. Things here are unlike the street-side vendors and shops at the Ladies Street, the goods here are genuine. It is also significantly less cramped, which means less competition in search for great bargain! The better part is that you can try on before purchase, something which you can’t do in Ladies Street.

There is a food court on the top floor, Food Republic, selling a variety of Asian food such as local Dim Sum and congee; Japanese, Thai, Korean, Vietnamese, Indian, Malaysian etc. McDonald’s and a Japanese restaurant are on the ground floor.

Supermarket on the lower ground - they do not offer free plastic bags anymore, so bring your own shopping bag would be handy.

Shopping at the Airport

I also found a few bargains such as La Coste outlet, Shanghai Tang outlet, Rimowa Luggage, Tie Rack at a non-restricted area at Terminal 2. The variety is not as great though.
Inside the restricted area at Terminal 1, Zara, Muji, Bobbi Brown, Gucci and other shops are also lining up until almost the end of the last boarding gate.

If you want to make your husband or boyfriend happy in Hong Kong, take him to men's shopping heaven at Shum Shui Po. No regrets !!

Hong Kong is a truly "Shoppers' Paradise"
